Privacy

This privacy information explains how the Rosehaven Council website operates while the council remains uncommenced. The public site currently provides information about the council and its future functions; it is not a portal for Rosehaven service applications or public-service casework.

Information you send through the website

Rosehaven Council has not opened a public enquiry form, service application or casework route. Residents should not send personal or sensitive service information through administrative sign-in pages or any route that is not expressly published for public use.

When a service is opened, its privacy information will need to explain what personal information the service collects, the purpose for which it is used, the lawful arrangements that apply, who information may be shared with, how long it is retained and the rights available to the person concerned.

Website administration

Authorised users can sign in to the publishing system to maintain the website. Account, authentication, security and publishing records are used to control access, protect the service and maintain an audit trail of administrative activity. Public visitors cannot use those restricted routes as council-service contact channels.

Technical information

Like other web services, the site may process technical information needed to deliver and secure requests, such as information associated with connections to the service. Cookies and browser storage are explained separately on the cookies page. Optional tracking must not be described as active unless it is actually in use.

Information held by other authorities

Another public authority remains responsible for personal information collected through its own services. Rosehaven Council does not become responsible for another organisation's casework simply because the person concerned lives in Rosehaven or because the subject relates to the local area.

As Rosehaven services commence

This notice cannot stand in for the detailed privacy information required by future services. Privacy material will be expanded alongside genuine service delivery so residents can understand the actual information handling connected with each service, rather than a hypothetical future process.
